A parliamentary democracy is a form of government where the executive branch derives its legitimacy from and is accountable to the legislature. In this system, the head of government is usually the leader of the majority party in the parliament, and they are responsible for running the government and implementing policies. The parliament, made up of elected representatives, holds the power to make laws, scrutinize the government's actions, and can remove the government through a vote of no confidence. This system allows for a separation of powers between the legislative and executive branches while ensuring that the government remains accountable to the people through their elected representatives. **
